HAiR Pronail

HAiR Pronail is a well-known hair salon in Hong Kong, celebrated for its unique whimsical interior that blends powerful statements, reflecting the salon’s brand and vision while evoking a sense of history and nostalgic inspiration. This design allows clients to indulge in a luxurious ambiance during their beauty treatments.

The interior masterfully utilizes three main colors—gold, red, and black—enhanced by bespoke textures, patterns, detailing, and materials that add incredible depth to the salon’s overall aesthetic.

Uniqueness is at the heart of this project. We deconstructed various wood moldings and reconstructed them into distinct patterned panels painted in black. These panels are paired with beveled black mirror squares and burgundy leather sections, creating an extraordinary reception counter. The bright red carpet, wine-red flocked damask wallpaper backdrop, and authentic French antique wall lights collectively deliver a striking first impression.

Continuing the de/reconstruction theme, we designed wall columns of varying widths using the same molding and black mirror squares to segregate selections of damask and vintage-inspired custom hand-made wallpapers by an artist. To elevate the wall textures and layers, artisan murals and graffiti created on-site contrast against the red walls.

The interplay of black and red wallpaper against a black-and-white zebra-patterned floor creates a striking visual effect that adds an air of mystery. A mix of vintage embellished, ornate baroque mirrors alongside custom-made modern black frames infuses the space with timeless charm and romantic elegance. Hand-printed unique logos on the salon chairs and VIP waiting bench enhance the clients’ sense of identity and comfort, while adding a dash of personality and an eclectic touch to the overall design. The luxurious materials, combined with bespoke upholstery patterns, truly make a difference.
